My First Post

Well, here is my first post. I thought I would post a sample of each aspect of my work although it is much wider than these depict, but I have to start somewhere.
Here is an example of my favoured kind of photography - macro pieces in nature.

This is a rose from my garden.

Here is an example of my textile work. The fabric for the bag is hand made, hand dyed mohair which was then embellished with hand and machine stitching and beads.


Finally for today, an example of digital collaging. I am currently working on a project about Ancient Egyptian art and am producing pieces of embroidery, mixed media and digital collages which will be printed.


I will now get back to working on a series of pieces based on the bust of Queen Nefertiti. Every time I finish a piece, I think of another one. That's the beauty of these art forms.
